So here's my problem. I've played online now for a while but without the headset. I decided to try it so i got it out from the 360 box last night. I read the manual on how to plug it in (easy stuff) and plugged it in. When playing online with the headset, the little "sound thingy" comes up next to my name but all the voices from other players dissapear when i plug it in and i can't say anything to them either. I can't hear them through the headset nor the tv. Then i pull the headset out and i can hear them again.

Anyone know what might be the problem or if I'm doing anything wrong?

I didn't find anything in the family nor xbox live settings. It must be broken. I'm a bit puzzled though beause the screen reacts when i plug in the headset. (The sound thingy comes up on the screen).

It's just annoying cause i spent my last bucks on crackdown yesterday. I shouldn't have to buy a new one for 25 bucks, if it's completely new and never used before. I know it's not a lot of money but I'm a student and i don't really want to spend money on things that i really shouldn't have to buy (it should work when it's new).

Is there a way to replace it with a new one without putting money in between because me and a mate are playing crackdown co-op tomorrow and i really need the headset by then? Anyone else who's had this problem?

Cheers

If you were a local, I'd gladly give you the headset that came with my 360. Those things are crap. Wireless Headset FTW!
