Saints ROW kicks Crack does @$$ i personaly hated crack down i thought it was such a bad game and yes saints row ios tottally worth it and it never gets boringlatin0playa
Loved both games but I must say that I prefer Saints Row - It's generally got more to it and as you mentioned, the Missions aren't all the same as in CD.
I would say Crackdown is better, just because it does something different. Saints Row is an awesome, next gen clone of GTA3. Crackdown does something different with the whole super agent thing. Both are awesome games that you can't go wrong with.
I'd buy Saints Row now since you can get it for cheap. I guess if you want the Halo 3 beta, get Crackdown very soon. If not, get Crackdown in about a month. The Halo 3 beta will be done and I expect the used market will get flooded with it.
saints row is way better crack down is sooo boaringneXtgenisis
Yes, the abundance of wild boars in Crackdown was just plain weird... :P
Saint's Row is a competent GTA clone, which both describes its strengths and weaknesses simultaneously. Crackdown has less mission variety, but a more robust sandbox engine. Crackdown's strength is its over-the-top physics, weapons and abilities. As you upgrade your character you'll find yourself driving around the city less in favor of leaping from rooftop to rooftop and throwing semi-trucks at the bad guys. Crackdown's biggest weakness is that there's virtually no mission variety and you can finish it in a weekend.
If you prefer a longer single player campaign with a more robust narrative, go with Saint's Row. If you'd like something that's an open ended city sandbox type game that's -not- a GTA clone, go with Crackdown.

I played saints row for around 30 hours and Crackdown for around 30 minutes. basically I got crackdown for the H3 beta invite. Saints Row is alot better than Crackdown.The_Chronicle
You payed $60 to play in the Halo 3 beta? That's just stupid man.

I've played Crackdown and I really don't want to play it again. Would Saints Row be too similar to Crackdown for me to enjoy if I didn't really like Crakdown all that much. I just thought Crackdown didn't have enough character. I thought it was too linear. Every mission was EXACTLY the freakin' same. Is that the case with Saints Row?n_kors
overall saints row is a better buy, it has alot more replay value because it has a versus mode and a couple of co-op modes. if you want diversity in your missions then saints row is the best choice for sure..the missions have you doing all sorts of things similar to GTA type missions.
Saints Row lasted way longerRamboSymbiot
i was done with crackdown in a week or so, and saints row is my third most played game on the 360,mainly due to it being out in the summer of last year when there wasnt that much to play, multiplayer gave it the legs and story was longer. so yeah i liked saints row better but, now.....a year from release, i dont know if it will hold up
Saints ROW kicks Crack does @$$ i personaly hated crack down i thought it was such a bad game and yes saints row ios tottally worth it and it never gets boringlatin0playaNever gets old, the game has great multiplayer and all, the only problem is the lag :D They have been updating it and it has been way improved from before so it isn't bad. Crackdown's good side is just coop, its a short game, and you'll get bored of it fast if you like to get through games. Saints Row takes time and I havn't gotten bored of it, I stopped playing because my last disk got scratched so I bought a new one and I'm planning to buy the elite when they finally release the 65nm processors later this year.
The gameplay was definitely more polished for Saint's Row. The driving overall felt better: faster, looser, and you can shoot while driving (whereas in Crackdown practically every vehicle controlled the same with the exception of, perhaps, the supercar).
Gunplay in Saint's Row is solid (no auto-aim, but didn't bother me at all) giving you a nice variety of weapons to choose from(although the weapon loadout in Crackdown wasn't too shabby either).
As many people have already mentioned, story missions aren't all one-note, with mission types ranging beyond go here, kill boss, rinse, repeat as necessary. Also, there's much more in terms of a plot in Saint's Row (in Crackdown, there was no plot).
Bottom Line: If you're a fan of GTA, you can't go wrong with this one.
