I want to buy a xbox 360 memory card to keep a copy of my gamer profile and game saves safe just incase something happens to my HDD considering the time I have spent on the 360 and I would be rather gutted to lose it all. I was thinking of buying the official 512MB memory unit but then I noticed the Datel Max 4GB memory Unit which is the same price and allows you to save game on your PC either through a cable or on a SD card. It sounds good but as it's third party I would like to know if anyone has got this memory unit and is it worth buying over the official 360 memory unit?

I have not been able to find any straightforward explanation on what this is actually for. Some ppl mention it's for saving backup files to your pc but surely then it should still work as you're asking because the files go on it from the xbox and onto it from the pc ????? i'm not going to risk my money, most of the files i need to transfe are under 512mb except Broken Steel. (sorry i was absolutely no help at all :S)
