I've been thinking about getting an Xbox 360.
Is it worth it?

If I buy a 360 off of eBay, what are my options of protecting my 360 just in case of rrod? Can I still register it with Microsoft?

Does anyone not read other threads on this forum? This has to be the 10th are xbox worth buying threads in the past 2-3 days. If you have the money and like gaming why wouldn't it be worth it? It's a great system with tons of great options, play great titles, play dvds, download arcade games, try games before they're even out and you can even rent movies. (which is a rip off) Top it all off with an amazing multiplayer experience that only cost 60 bucks for a year.(Friends list, partys, private convos, joining their games) It's the package man, get it if you have the money.

microsoft covers RROD for 3 years after the manufacture date on the back of the console. That's what I heard, at least. It doesn't even matter who first bought it or when it was bought. If I buy a 360 off of eBay, what are my options of protecting my 360 just in case of rrod? Can I still register it with Microsoft?

Yes, The Xbox 360 has the most variety in games overall (as well as the most games), and has become similar to what the PS2 was during its glory days. Paying to play online is actually worth it if you think about how many great titles are available.
I have had the rrod once on my xbox something no one seems to mention is the ps3 locks up sometimes (or mine does) also the graphics seem to move faster and smoother on xbox. Was thinking of selling one but really can't decide. Free online games beats the heck outta paying for it, since all I care about is playing against another person sometimes, all the other stuff is just fluff to me.
