My suitemates and I played for 10 hours straight (we did take some breaks, but left we left it running). We had no problems at all. Possibley an isolated problem? Certain copies of the game do this? That seems odd though... I have heard about this though.
The single player is fine but good luck with the online. Sometimes you can't join games and other times the lag is so bad you just have to leave.dxy592
It really depends on your connection and the host. Personally, I have never had that problem.

Almost everybody I talk to during matches in GTAIV say that they have the same problems. I play Gears and COD4 with zero problems connecting to games and no lag (although I do have to host for Gears). This problem has more to do with the servers than with individual connections.

Same here, all my MP games have been fine. Also with single player, never frozen up on me.
