just don't become one of those people that buys games just for the achievements. I have a guy on my friends list who was so obsessed with beating my gamerscore of 36,000 that his last 5 games were avatar, lost, king kong, NBA 2k6 and kung fu panda, I have a high gamerscore but i buy the games i think are fun not ones that have easy achievements. I also have friends that have had a 360 for over a year with just over 1,000pts because online mp doesn't usually net you a lot of pts.

Yes that's way too low. Man you are worthless. I kid. Gamerscore means nothing. Someone could rent Avatar and have a higher GS than you in 2 minutes.

Gamerscore is not an indication of the presence of skill.Staryoshi87

Uhm Yes it most certainly is... Sure there are plenty of games like King Kong that reward you for just playing the game, but others like Guitar Hero 3 and Call of Duty 4 have some achievements that are actually hard to get unless you are good at the game.

Gamerscore doesn't really matter. As long as you aren't one of those turds that have less than 100 and have themselves listed in the "Pro" category. And have a motto or bio thats say "I 0wnz U AlL U No0bz 1m t3h 1337 mast3rz!" Or something along those lines. Although I do love that *Achievement Unlocked* noise.

I go out of my way all time to get Achievements, so 800 is pretty low. I don't know how many games you have, but you should get at least 300-500 gamerpoints per game.

It depends what games/number of games people have Like if you see a guy with 50,000 gamerscore, compare games with him, and see he has 5345345345 games he could be bad, but just have alot of games and time to play them. But if you see a guy with 50,000 gamerscore and like 60 games, he's a pro. Also sports games are the opposite, because you can get 1k per sports game and theres like 10 per year, and you can get old ones for 6 dollars a piece. but overall 800 is low, but i can't say how long because you didn't say how many games you have. If you have 1 game 800 is good, if you have 40 games 800 is terrible.

If you only care about gamerscore you probably can get 20k in over a week. 40 hours of game play. I remember when I just picked up my xbox on release date all the games only had 10-15 achievement. Im currently at 24k but I just play the games. Only time I care about an achievement is if people/reviwers claims it impossible to get or if it seems fun to get achieve.

I got my Xbox for a day or 2 and got 330 points out of 1 game. So 800 isn't that much I think, but most important is that you enjoy the games

WHy, just cause he's not as much of a nerd as you and don't play 24/7 just to whore achievements?

You don't have to play 24/7 or even try for achievements to accumulate GS eventually.. if you just play them for fun you still get the ones like beat the game or whatever so that number is low. Also how can you call someone a nerd on a gaming forum? what exactly are you?

Gamerscores don't harm anyone. If you like them, great. If you don't, then just ignore them.

Personally I enjoy the challenge of maximising my gamerscore on my games, and myself and my friends enjoy a healthy rivalry when it comes to our gamerscores. Ultimately it has no reflection on you, just on how many games you play and how intensively you play them.

I try to get 100% in most of my games. I have 40,000 GS and 75% completion To me anything under about 10k is either a new player or casual gamer. 10k - 30k is fairly normal for a lot of people. 30k+ shows they like to play a lot of gamesAvenger1324
I think that is a bit presumptive on your part. I for instance, don't play much multiplayer games so my gamerscore is 90% single player games. If I played a lot of Live games my score would be almost doubled because online points are so easy to get. I've had my 360 for just over a year and I am not a new player or casual gamer, I play games on other systems than just the 360 as well.

I don't think about achievements or look up how to get them either I simply play the game like I would on any other system.

Only 845 in a few months??? I'm guessing that you only have a few games with you there. Unless you just don't like unlocking achievements or completing your game.

Sometimes when you beat a game going for achievements is a good way to challenge yourself through it again. Some are just really tedious and not so fun. Those I don't bother with.

It's your 360 do with it what you want. On-line, off-line, achievements, or no achievements it's up to you to decide.
