call of duty 4 is a bettr purchase but assassins creed is definately worth a rent i just rented it a few days ago and i am close to beating it, doing all of the side missions along the way, and i am still enjoying it but it is starting to get really repetetive. after i beat i doubt that i will ever play it again
my verdict-- Buy Call Of Duty 4, Rent/Borrow Assassin's Creed
i havent played either but from what i heard the single player is very short in cod4 but the multiplayer is awesome, and for assasins creed your supposed to have about a 15 hour game so it depends what you like more a short shooter with awesome multiplayer or a longer single player game like assasins creed.
Assasins Creed. It get's repetive, yes... but it's so damn beautiful and very fun to play. Also something completly different from what is done before.
COD4 is good but is too short, I'm about 13 hour's into Assassins Creed and so far have only killed 4 templer's and i do all the investigation's and stuff, so assassins creed has mre to do that COD4

AC is amazing and it an experience you shouldnt miss out on. But youll play through it in 10-15. I'm putting my hours into it by doing the side quests but they are rather repetitive, but if you do them all then it can be 40 hours. I would say get Mass Effect (best game ever imo) but you didnt mention that. I wouldnt get CoD4 if you have already done a lot of online shooting, it also doesnt feel liek a revolution like AC and ME.
well, i have both and just finished Assassins creed last night and have yet to finish the second level of Call of duty 4. so with that i would say assassins creed. I REALLY liked it, and it a great break from all the shooters. it seems like hit and miss with alot of people, but i thought it was great.
