Is the new line of Xbox 360's immune to RROD? Has anyone experienced failures using the 360's with this model? Thanks for the reply

It's possible. I would hope they would've found a cure by now anyway.

There probably won't be immune 360's but the likelyhood of RROD is greatly reduced in newer models.

My 2 year old Elite 360 just RROD this morning. I think its too early to tell if Jasper if free of this defect. I hope the repair process is reliable.

Microsoft says RRoD is no more, but its probably more like brought into industry standerds with jasper to little to late, IMO

No, however the risk of you getting RROD is less likely to happen compared to other models since it runs quieter and cooler then the older chips, this also doesn't mean you wont see RROD happen either.

No 360 is immune to the RROD but hopefully the Jasper chip remains solid and there are fewer hardware failures.

I cannot find the topic in the forums that ask about faulty xbox 360 ac powerboxs. The Ac power box for the 360 usually when plugged and ready for play is green:after 1 hour or more the light on the ac power box turns red.If any person who reads this can inform me on the problem PM me because i wont pay for a replacement when i have the warranty.

It would be useful if we could find someone with a jasper who got the rrod, like eternity21 asked.... anyone out there? not much point in saying if your older model got it, as most did anyway

I bought an Xbox 360 Arcade which has been confirmed as a Jasper chip version. I have had absolutley not one single problem with it. I bought a 60 GB harddrive as an add on and replaced the white drive face and button with chrome from a pro. Now it is a dead on look alike as a Pro with the exception of that one, no RROD, and two it has extra memory as the Arcade came with the 265 internal memory. So personally I think the way I did it is the best way. One time I did get the RROD but turns out my plug wasn't fully connected to my Intercooler hence the error. But made me **** my pants.
