Just got my Xbox360 Elite! Strange sound yesterday?

I just got an Xbox360 Elite and was watching a movie yesterday and the Xbox360 elited was placed on the floor and it began making such a strange a bit loud noise like something beeping or something(sorry for bad grammar)! I shut of the machine and moved it a bit and put in the movie again and it did not say the sound anymore. The sound was very annoyng and I was just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else have experienced this. What is the explanation for it?

I'm guessing your talking about the disk drive. My friend bought an elite not to long ago. It had a disk drive that was making an very loud noise, so he returned it and got a new one. You should do the same.

i'm starting to see this problem alot lately, if in fact the disk drive is what was emitting the noise on your machine then yes, i'd go back to the store and have it swapped.

My Elites drive used to make a bit of a squealing sound sometimes,from brand new last December.I hoped it would go away before the 1 year warranty ran out,but in the end i just ignored it and turned my tv up a touch,i mean,it only used to happen occasionally.

My old elite never had that probably... unfortunately it did get RRoD
