I'm sure it would stop overheating - you'd have to have it in a room at least 30*C to have any risk of overheating...

18 degrees F? I don't think it's worth gaming in those conditions. You could lose a finger or two.

LOL what? How much is 18 F in C?

32F = 0C so it's under freezing the TC would be undergoing a great sacrifice to his good health if playing his console in 18F temperatures. :)

I don't think it makes much of a difference... I live in a magical place where we have air conditioning on for most of the year, pay outrageous electric bills. Got my HDTV and 360 and receiver all in the same room and it creates so much heat it feels like the AC isn't even on in that room, lol. Never had a broken 360 though (knock on wood), so maybe it does work.

I'm just going to assume he's talking Celsius, so that would be about 64* Fahrenheit. Pretty comfy, if you ask me.

i dont think it matters, out of all the broken consoles i think 75% is people that dont know how to take care of it. I got mine on launch day i keep a huge amount of space for air to circulate around my 360, i keep my power brick outside of where my 360 is all by itself so it has its own air circulation and have never had one problem except the occasional freeze. if you take care of it you should not have a problem, but like i said thats 75% IMO i do believe that atleast 25% are genuine problems that a system tends to get when its new. if you look at the fact that systems are still breaking becuase of overheating and actually believe that MS has done nothing to fix this and its all their fault that your system broke is rediculous.

75% user error is crap, I have mine setup exactly the same as yours twice and it broke twice, and two people on my friends list have had their machines break in the past 2 weeks.
