So I recently went to a Kinect demo at a local mall. If you have: children, plan on having friends sit behind you while you play, pets, can't stand farther than 8 feet from the tv, have bad lighting, small area to move around, plus other things I can't even think about, do not waste your 150 bucks. At this event they had people trying Kinect in these concealed rooms that had their own lighting, blocked others from being behind you, and had twice the amount of room as a normal apartment living room. Also, the thing cannot recognize fingers, which I thought was something they said it could do. I actually felt kind of tense while playing because they had these circles on the ground that the attendant told us not to go out of. So what I want to know is if for 150 bucks we are going to get an attendant and our own prefab living room with our kinect bundle?

i must be missing something, did you take the kinect home and it didnt work in your living room or something?

because it sounds like you went to the mall... and now you are telling us kinect only works in that same exact setting. But i have no idea how you managed to arrive at this conclusion.

here watch this...

I went to a gamestop and played with a standard controller at a kiosk.... standard controllers suck because you have to be a foot away from the tv which will ruin your eyes and the controller is tethered to the system and can barely be moved.

Good job they took you into a room because. You was a mall... I know every time I walk into a mall theirs 40 people infront of me and other 20 behind me all the time. And are you mad that you can't stand farther then 8 ft? 8 feet is pretty huge amont of space specially in a house. Bad lights you know its bad to watch tv in dark right just saying.
