he hints that the Metal Gear Solid series is no longer exclusive to the PlayStation market, suggests that MGS may possibly make an appearance on the 360xphoenixtheory
I highly doubt it man. Wheres the proof? Kojima and Konami just signed a deal with Sony to make the MGS movie. I don't see Konami spitting in Sony's face and porting MGS4 after they just signed a movie deal. What is the big deal about MGS4 anyway?Â

I don't doubt what u are saying.................
I wrote on this subject a few weeks ago thatin EGM (rumour section)Â from abut 2 months ago it stated that Konami is basically forcing Hideo Kojima to port MGS4 over to X360,(at least in North America) due to Sony's crappy installed user base and the high price point.

i played the whole first MGS on PS1, and while i enjoyed it, i never felt the need to play any other games in the series, i'm sure they were great, everyone says so, i think what put me off was the final battle with that giant mech, and hiding in boxes etc...

Feel exactly the same played the first one and i have never felt the need to play any more of em ... MGS4 is no reason to buy a PS3 in my view ...

Most people who own 360s probably would disagree that MGS is good. But that's your opinion and almost every single gaming analyst disagrees with all of you. That's just life though and MGS is a great game. But we all have preferences. Personally, Splinter cell isn't even half the game MGS is. Wii26It's not about what console you're rooting for, MGS simply isn't a great game. It's an ok game. I own both the PS1 and 2 and they both had great games, but the MGS-series was never one of the greats.

Yes I have, and it got boring fast. I tried to play every game in the series because my friend is a fanatic and has them all. Â Its not my kind of game.
"It's just got a really good storyline and it's fairly fun"
a great game should be more than just FAIRLY fun.
to the people that don't like the MGS games i would recomend you give MGS3:Snake Eater a try. imo that was much better then MGS2 (while fun, it was pretty much just a highly produced MGS with a twist)
but on the subject of Kojima making a 360 game, i would rather see something new from him. not that i would not like to play MGS4 on my 360 (the more people that get to play a game the better imo) but i would rather a new IP be introduced.
oh well, sounds like this is all just rumor and speculation at the moment.
he hints that the Metal Gear Solid series is no longer exclusive to the PlayStation market, suggests that MGS may possibly make an appearance on the 360xphoenixtheoryMGS4 currently uses over 25gigs of storage space with 2:1 compression. That aint gunna work so well on a 9gig 360.
metal gear is an over-rated franchisefattony_1Yeah no doubt. I tried it a few times and could never get into it. Even if the story is good, which I never got in to, I thought the gameplay mechanics were goofy. Camera angle all shifting to different points all the time. Just plain frustrated me. Splinter Cell is by far the better series.

That aint gunna work so well on a 9gig 360. That's because the only thing they have in Metal Gear Solid 'games' are cutscenes. Movie sequences = huge files. 25gigs used (which I highly doubt is true to begin with) would probably be filled with 99% of that as cutscenes. Just great, another MGS game where I get to play for 10 minutes then watch 2 hours of movie...

Same here, I played through 1 but then bought 2. You didn't miss much it was mostly cut scenes. I don't know what all the hype is about I really don't rate MGS at all now. Here: ARTICLE LINKED!
This news isn't exactly surprising. Kojima doesn't work for Sony... he works for money. And Microsoft has it. Given that the installed base for 360 is over 10 million, to say nothing of the similarities between developing for 360 and developing for Windows (a HUGE installed base), this doesn't surprise me at all. With the amount of money he's pulled with the Metal Gear games, he can technically afford to be picky about where his games go, but I doubt that he will without incentive.
That being said, I'm just not really into these games. I liked the original Metal Gear game that came out for NES... didn't play all the way through MGS for PS1... I liked the PS2 one up until he became that femme ninja, at which point I just gave the game to my brother-in-law. Didn't finish MGS3 because I got a 360. So I don't really care if it happens or not (especially with the rediculous idea of Snake being an old guy), but it's definitely not outside the realm of possibility. Money holds more water than fanboyism, you know.
@acidic_man: MS has explicitly said that no games are going to be on the HD-DVD drive.
