First of all, it's being developed by Rockstar, not "some Australian company." Secondly, I'm pretty sure the only detail announced about this game is the fact that they are making it... LOL. So nobody really knows.

I highly doubt that it's too big for the xbox 360, unless ofcoure it will be a PC exclusive (haven't heard of this game before). Can you seriously think the xbox 360 has reached it's limits of capability already, it won't happen untill the next gen consoles are out, but for now, the xbox 360 is hugely powerful.

I think they are referring to the storage capacity of a DVD, not the actual capabilities of the system.

The 360 is very powerful, but in all honesty, DVD9 won't be sufficient for all game types. Having multiple disks for RPGs is fine, but can you imagine having multiple disks for a sandbox game? That would be horrendous.

The only system I know for sure will have it is the PS3 so I'm not sure. Maybe it needs Blu-Ray?

Mass Effect is prime example that no game will be too big. Maybe in the far future but otherwise I doubt it very much.

I seriously doubt it is too big for 360, there are some huge games on the system and I can't imagine a buget for a game that exceeded the systems limmits would be in any way reasonable (considering the games limmited release). Sounds just like rumours and people trying to start yet another flame war.

Here is the link to what he's talking about. The details are still a rumor but I think this game could be good like Mafia meets Crackdown meets GTA.

umm, lair and heavenly flop was supposedly, "impossible" on the 360......yeah......thank god they are...

these stupid and idiotic rumours created by depressed sony fanboys need to die, this is their way of justifying their 600 dollars down the drain. by the time a new format is needed, the new gen will come along, right now dvd9 is good enough.

btw, ill take bioshock on a dvd9 instead of lair on "teh blu-ray"

axes03

Comments like this are just as stupid and idiotic as the rumours created by "depressed Sony fanboys".

lol sad little fanboy. This game has nothing to do with those suppose "flops". Anyway L.A. Noire is a sandbox type game that is to be exclusive to the ps3 i think. Like nyc said. a sandbox game that might have to use dvd9? LOL thats ridiculous, no thanks. Dont compare masseffect to a sandbox type game.

hes not comparing mass effect to it, hes comparing the size and sheer "mass" of this game. if a game as big and well detailed as mass effect can fit on a dvd9 im sure this L.A Noire will have no problem getting on the 360

lol sad little fanboy. GTA had to be pushed back 6 months so they could get it to work on the ps3. That's all I have to say about the ps3 and sandbox games.

whos a fanboy? or are you blind? i play on a ps3 and 360 and IM fanboy? ok buddy. Im just saying, its a sandbox game, and we dont even know the technical limitations it may have that limit it from being possible on the 360.All im doing is shedding light as to why it might be technically impossible for the 360, and im a fanboy?

yea i understand that but we havent even seen anything on this game. This game could be just as detailed as mass effect for all we know, but the problem is that how are you supposed to play a sanbox type of game on multiple dvds. It isnt possible, or even something you'd want to do.
