Finally. It was starting to get insane how long they were taking to fix it. If they fix all the problems I'm gonna be back to playing the hell out of it.
We'll see if this actually fixes it. I think there is more going on than incorrect traffic routing with their servers. I'm inclined to think that it is more of a netcode issue. If it was that easy they would have identified and fixed it weeks and weeks ago, back when it first became a game-ending problem for most people. I love BC2, but I've lost all faith in EA and DICE to do right by their community at this stage. I hope this works, but if it doesn't I will be selling BC2 (despite a burning desire to play it in its original, lag-free glory) and passing on every other EA or DICE title until they can get their equipment and code on par with the rest of the industry.
I am very happy now. Hope this will totally fix it. Took a while but I finally started to suffer the terrible lag issues the other day, so this is very good news.
I'm still having terrible issues with rubberbanding and lag. This is getting to be too much. As good as BC2's mp was when it came out, it's unplayable now, and they seem to not be doing the necessary things to remedy it. Pathetic.
