Yea it is a very dumb achievement. But i am confident our organizing the event will get this thang done! Oh and be sure if you do come, dont leave right after you get the achievement, be a nice guy and stay around for a while8)

not necessicarily, this was organized 4 other times, and only once did they get 1000 people to show up. The second time they tried only 280 people were online. It sucked because the first time the total got up to 991, and noone else came, everyone waited around for about 30 or 45 minutes after the 991st person entered. So this being organized doesn't guarantee you get the achievement
This time there is enough time to get organized, the other times were rushed, this have over a month of planning and exposure. The last time people organized it the dicks that got the achievement left right after they got the achievement, leaving many people screwed, not cool :evil: If you want the achievement, be sure to be in a lobby, not listening to EA radio. And when you get the achievement stick around for a while:wink:

Umm...the last few times it has been organized it was not rushed. The only time it was rushed was the first time, where they only gave people about a week notice. The next few times they posted on forums at least a month before the date of the gathering.
There are posts about it in both the Xbox forums and the EA Sports forums. I know the April 1 gathering already has about 600 people signed up saying they will be there. It's pretty organized when it is through those forums, they have sign ups a month or two before the date they are going for, just to see how many people are planning on showing up, then if not 1000 people say they will show up, they just push the date back a week or two. Thats how it's worked in the past. The last time they had 1400 people show up and all those people got the achievement. I'm already signed up for April 1, until then NBA Live 07 will just sit in my collection and collect dust because 2k7 is miles ahead of Live

because there are rewards for showing up for April 1. They usually give away MS points and a couple of arcade games. Not everyone gets a prize, but a few people do

I would but I'm in DC that week for work. I work for a Senator now (a huge step up from my old job as a manager at WalMart) so I usually alternate weeks between his local office and his DC office. I may take my 360 with me though, depends what all I have to do while I'm there, I'll get my schedule sometime this week.
I hate achievements like that. The Virus achievements in Need for Speed Carbon sucked also, you could only get them within the first few weeks the game came out...

Hell yea thats the only place to be, a360p sucks (sorry to anyone from there) You should just rent it, thats what ima do, theres no way id pay $50 for this hunk of Sh**
