How many people here have a newer manufactured 360, and has it ever shown any signs of defectiveness???(red lights/constant freezing) Im still not sure about getting a 360 because of all this.
If you take god damn care of your 360 you won't have any problems. People constantly complained about how bad the original Xbox was and crap, but mine worked perfectly for 3 YEARS. It was a launch console by the way. Now people are constantly moaning about how "bad" a 360 is. I've had mine for ~5 months and I haven't received any severe errors. The only error I received was a "disk read error" because it was a game from Blockbuster and it was dirty as hell. If you know what you're doing and give the thing room to breathe it won't give you the red lights of death.
DarkRider, I take great care of my consoles. I dont move them, i dont even let anyone else play on them! Yet I am on my third 360. It is in a WELL ventilated area, on its own and with nothing blocking any of its vents. People obviously have trouble with 360's or else there would not be so many complaints. Maybe you are lucky and have a good working 360, but a lot of people dont... so just grow up, and stop being such a damn know it all! /end rant.
My 360 was manufactured in August 06, its kept in a well ventilated area and I can count the number of freezes on 1 hand. Never had any red lights. Im in the UK btw. You wont have any issues if you buy a new one today.
