So a couple of weeks ago my good old pal the 360 kind of decided to start scratching my DVDs just like a DJ. That's when I tought, "Hey I think it's time to get a new one!" So today I bought an arcade 360. I went home eager to plug it in for a long-waited Halogame. I went trough the menus for installing and all that when: (In october that is, I don't think this has ever occured in Sweden at this time of year) Lightning "shikabowkawazwoosh" and ........RROD :D Yippie! I tried restarting it twice but got the infamous red lights in my face. I then go to scream all of the curse words ther is. Then I went back and restarted it and: It WORKED! Ii healed itself! It's a miracle, for all people out there with dead 360's, there is always hope. Believe.(not in God that is)(no offence people who actually believe in gods and stuff)

Also sorry if my english sucks but I'm Swedish.

I'm glad that it's all better. While reading it I thought why would anyone be so happy to get a RROD, but now it makes sence! Great stuff!

Is it plugged into a surge protector? I don't mean a flimsy dollar store one either. I've had electronics give me problems after storms without one, but once I got a good one and plugged everything into it, I haven't had any wonky electronic situations since.

did you get it from the highstreet?

if so, just as a caution, return it and get a new one. If its already displayed RROD, it might very well do it again.

When i first got mine, it wouldnt turn on, then after a few hours it did, i returned it any way and said it was faulty and got a new one without any problems.

lol yeah this happened to me two times because the way my room is setup at my dorm the plugs are high while the beds are low so my bed is right on the plug to the wall so a joustle of the bed will lose power slightly. which has caused 2 temp rrod scary as **** when it didnt restart this one time until after the 3rd try. but one day it will die its inevitable =P

I believe the 360's power brick has a built in surge protector, if I remember correctly, so I doubt the lightning had much to do with it, but hey, anything can happen.
