To keep this short: I'd like to buy a 360 but PS3 is still my main console.

Elite is expensive, but there is a good deal going around with the Arcade:

$120 for the Arcade

Save $30 on a 60 GB Harddrive for about $70

which includes headset and 3 Month Gold membership=

$200 or so.

Good deal? It's at Best Buy Canada. The only bad thing about the Arcade is lack of memory but I'll gladly upgrade to the 60 GB. My other concern is if its a Jasper model which I'm sure it is (right?)

I know these threads get asked plenty, but this is a limited deal and I want to capitalize on it. I just want to play some sweet, sweet Halo 3 as it's the killer app I've always loved.

ya its a good deal. usually arcade is 200, just google how to check for the jasper unit.

200 for an arcade jasper with a 60 gig hdd is a sweet deal brand new. if you like installing games(which will make the system quieter) you might eventually consider a bigger hdd.

do it though! with splinter cell conviction and alan wake coming up and mass effect 2 marked down u have some sweet exclusives to try out.

First I would like to say that the 360 you are interested in is supposed to be safe. The 360 is worth it especially if you want to get an array of awesome games.

Doesn't sound like such a bad deal, actually. Here, the Arcade's didn't come with any extras at all.

I have a ps3 as my main system as well, sure it's a good idea to get an xbox as well, with all the exclusives that are around now ya need both. $200 is a great deal, I was lucky enough to get one from JB's just after new years for $200(aus $) on some super special. I then bought an 120GB hard drive off ebay for $85. I've had it a while now and had no issues at all with xbox live. With the right research you can get some real bargains.

Pretty sure it's safe to say alot of us paid alot more then that for a small harddrive, so yeah I think it's worth it ;) pick up all the great exclusives you missed out on! ME 1 &2, Gears 1&2, halo 3, just to name a few.

You've got a pretty sweet deal for that Arcade. My XBOX is an Arcade and when I bought it, it wasn't as cheep as the one you've seen.

hello there fellow Canadian

Definitely go that root (Arcade + 60gb + XBL membership). Plus the bonus is now Arcades come with HDMI and Wireless controller. Best buy sells 360's often, so im sure when you go pick one up it'll be the most recent chipset.

My friend has an arcade, and it runs a whole lot more quiet than my 360, which I got relatively close to launch.

I usually recommend the Elite but you're never going to *need* more than 60GB. I'd say go for it, reliability isn't a worry anymore. (Add me on XBL if you do :D )
