I just passed disc 1, and so far, I haven't been able to buy any new weapons. When will I? (When will the shops start stocking weaopons?) Also, I gave a Pipot 14 seeds and didn't get anything. Why?

There's a few shops. You must have missed them. I guess you missed out on a couple of hidden swords as well? You must EXPLORE places my fine feathered friend.
