I rented Crackdown yesterday and I've pretty much been playing it non stop. It's really addicting for me, but is it actually worth buying? $60 is steep for a game, and I have heard that it is pretty short. After you beat the game, is there any replay value? I love playing this game, but I'd want to make sure that it's worth $60.

Crackdown is a great game, don't get me wrong. However, it is purely a rental. My cousin bought the game and after playing it for about a week he said to me, "Nick, you were right..." I had told him that he should just rent it because, although it is a very fun game, it has NO replay value. If you REALLY want to play the Halo 3 beta then get it but otherwise you could rent it and be done with it.

Yeah, I do really like the game but you could spend $21 renting it about three times (or if you have the game pass you can have it for the month at that price) and beat everything on it easy! You could do it renting it once if you tried to. The game is solid but just has no replay value whatsoever. My cousin was SO hooked to that game (demo) so when he bought it he played it and played it and kept telling me how great it was and then he beat it and leveled up... that took all of a week and a half and now he doesn't play it anymore because he has nothing left to do... If people buy it that's totally cool but my personal opinion is that it will be a game that most will take back unless they are die hard Halo players and then they will hold onto it until they can play the beta.

Exactly. Save yourself some money and still get the most out of the game.

I don't care what they've left out or decided to scrap, but it does feel unfinished as a whole. In terms of DLC anyhow, considering they haven't released ANY information on what it might be, I'm inclined to think its just going to be a weapons and vehicle pack.

I bought Crackdown mainly for the Halo 3 beta invite. But once I started playing it, I was addicted and played it non-stop. While I have slowed down recently, since I'm nearing the end and I don't see much else to do afterwards, I too would also recommend a rental if you see another game that is worth 60 bucks.

Crackdown is awesome, but its best if you rent it. the fun of jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper with a heat-seeking rocket launcher in your hands only lasts so long. our you could by it for the halo 3 beta.

Where are people getting the $60 from? It hasn't been $60 in a looong time. A new copy will run you $9 at Amazon.com! Renting it isn't much less, if you like the game I say buy it!
