lulz R6V2 got an 8.4 from IGN

title, plus what do you guys think abt it, i havent read the review so im not going to comment till i read it, which will be in a few seconds....but heres the link, ill probably end up watching the vid review instead...

so basically its the same as the first one, but i think it still should have gotten a higher score, than a freakin 8.4...it didnt even get editors choice award, istill respect Nates opinions, i love IGN and all their points are valid, so i guess techinically an 8.4 is fitting, but they could have been more generous...Ironre5

lulz i dont know why..well i had predicted an 8.7, i do agree with the 8.4, but i wish it was good enough to get higher...so yeh i was dissapointed that it got a low score, not because of IGNs fault, but cos of the games fault, so i chose to express it in that manner

If you are one of the people that think a game is only worth playing if it scores 9/10 or higher then you are missing out on a hell of a lot of amazing games.

and no i buy games if they appeal to me, though i have to admit the ones that appeal to me score in the 9's most of the time...but im buying R6V2 so this is proabably one of the few games that doesnt score in the 9's...oh i bought no more heroes, and that go a 9 from here, but a 7.9 at ign..it was alright IMO..

Well, I'm not surprised. It's like R6V1 but revamped with more content. And nothing is wrong with that. One reviewer's opinion shouldnt sway people. If I let that happen, I wouldnt have ever picked up Lost Odyssey. LO was an excellent game. If reviewers scored it an average of 7.5 rating, that must be a really high score (sarcasm).Elann2008

EXACTLY..... then why is it that super smash brothers brawl is "more of the same" but still gets a 9.5? im not a score whore but i do like consistency.

Using GS scores, games getting less than 9/10 include:

Guitar Hero 2, Mass Effect, skate, PGR 3 & 4, COD 2 & 3, GRAW2, Dead Rising, Saint's Row, Crackdown, DiRT, Castlevania SotN, The Godfather, every sports title,... In fact if you only got the 9/10 rated games from GS you would only have 14 games.

Using Metacritic (site that takes the average review score from loads of places including IGN and GS), only 11 games have averaged 9/10

Guys its just a review, dont look at it as the final "this is what it is" look at it as a guide line. The reviewer said 8.4, but you might say 9.0. If you liked the first Vegas game a lot then you'll probably like this one too.

That didn't say anything about the matchmaking for online. Which, imo, was the worst feature in RS:V. Mainly because people would boot you if you didn't go on the side they wanted(even tho some maps gave a huge advantage from where you spawned)

I want some Halo3 or COD4 matchmaking, where everything is random!

i mostly go with IGN reviews since their reviews are accurate, and actually criticize the game for real legit reasons, unlike gamespot...anyways..i dont like guitar hero cos its a casual game, mass effect was amazin (9.5 IGN), i dont like racing games, cod 2 and 3 were good, i dont like graw style games, dead rising was repetitve but fun (i bought it used, and i think i am justified doing so), saints row was alright, crackdown too got repetitve but it was fun, i hate sports games, the godfather was alright, another GTA ripoff...i usually buy games that are worth the full price..like Twilight Princess, super mario galaxy, metroid, brawl, Gears, Cod4, Mass effect, Halo 3, halo 1, halo 2 (a little), Re4, etc etc etc..i like a lot of the games that IGN scores in the 8S, i just buy them used or rent them depending on what type of criticism was made...
