That, and it's used. I've bought like 3 used controllers over the years and all of them had some kind of problem. But do what you want to do, just keep your recipt.

I've had bad experience with madcatz before, my friend plugged a madcatz memory card into a brand new playstation when they first came out and then playstation wouldnt read any memory cards after that at all. I also have bought some gamecube and playstation madcatz and other off brand controllers they seem to work for a good couple months and they fall apart. My opinion though, just depends how bad you want the controller, its your $

I strongly recommend that you DON'T purchase a controller made by Madcatz. I would say stick to first party controllers, or if you want something 3rd party go with Logitech only. Madcatz controllers are always garbage.

Those edges look very pointy. But if I were you, I wouldn't trust MadCatz, everything that i've bought from them in the past has always turned out to be garbage.

I'm going with everyone else on this, stick to first party. My entire life with games has been first party equipment. I've seen friends with other controllers just give up on them and buy first party ones weeks after. The things just bring pain and torture to anyone who uses them.

Don't be cheap: buy an official Microsoft 360 controller. It'll cost ya, but it will last ya.

i woudlnt get it. i never buy any accesories that arent microsoft. everything else is worse. i bought a joytech? controller for my second player, i hate it. and ive had it not even a month and it like spawns you throwing grenades and shooting and all kinda of weird stuff. i mean if your not using it then go for it. but if it going to be your main controller then i would deffinately just pay the extra and get a microsoft one.

GameStop brand? Sounds like that would be worth than MadCatz. Just pay extra for the real controller and be done with it

LOL Pawn shop. At least there they don't send the stuff they get in to get fixed. Good luck on the controller working good.

By the way I have that controller and it is ok for a wired controller. Not one you want for your main controller though. From what your blog says you only need a temporary one any way.

Ya that is not good. Next time though I would not get anything like that from a pawn shop. At least gamestop sends there stuff in to get fixed if need be. You will not get that from a pawn shop.

No, NEVER buy MadCatz, their products are major pieces of **** and will break within the first week of play. Plus it is a used, third-party controller which makes it even worse. Never buy that control.

i read your blog and i dont get it. didnt you get a controller back? why do you need a new one, you got that halo one. it is more expensive than a regular one anyway. if you really hate the way it looks you could always take it to walmart and trade it in for a regular white one and have a few bucks left over to spare for a snack or something.

and let me echo everyone here and say dont buy a used controller and dont buy a third party controller, and dont buy a used third party controller.

I bought one of these mad catz 360 controllers and like the next day one of the analog sticks stopped working and would make you look up at the sky while you play.

Anything MadCats sucks

I got a PS2 madcats and a xbox 260 madcats controller and they both broke very quickly, and broke the ports you plug them into

Generally I have no problem buying 3rd party stuff or the knock off brands but for my 360, I bought a MS controller and the MS quick charger. The only thing I bought that isn't MS is the HDMI and the HDMI to DVI cables.

After reading this thread, I would not buy a MadCatz product.
