mass effect 2 fish problem

i bought some fish from the citadel but they did not show up in my tank is there some way of activating them. Also the last few model ships i have bought havent showed up in my quarters and neither did the hamster

That's weird. Are you sure money was deducted from your account when you bought these items? I'm thinking that you may think you bought them but really didn't.
