I'm at the Collector Ship (big suprise~!) getting increasingly pissed off with everything and I'm just about ready to snap, punch a few dozen holes in the wall and call it quits, but Goddamn it I WANT MAH INSANITY ACHIEVEMENT (I finally figured out why they called it that btw!) Here's the facts.

I'm a Lv. 18-ish Soldier. My Talents are as follows:
Heightened Adrenaline Rush (Lv 4 obviously)
Lv. 2 Concussive Shot
Lv. 2 Disruptor Ammo
Lv. 3 Incendiary Ammo
Lv. 0 Cryo Ammo
Lv. 2 Combat Mastery
Heavy Warp Ammo

I've got the Revenant AR, the Eviscerator Shotgun, Viper Sniper, and Arc Projector.

My Squad is Miranda and Grunt. Grunt has his custom shotgun and the Collector AR (thank god for the item leak!) and I slaved through the Kasumi DLC to get the Locust for Miranda. I have Miranda's Loyalty, but not Grunt's (never got around to it yet)

Their stats are:
Grunt: Lv. 2 Concussive Shot
Lv. 3 Incendiary
Krogan Pureblood
Fortification (Locked)

Miranda: Lv. 3 Overload
Lv. 3 Warp
Cerberus Leader
Lv. 1 Slam

You can probably guess where I am in the level and I really need some tips and/or strategies, so can you please help?

I always stayed in the back as support for the other squadmates. Using the Viper you have 60 shots so you're not going to run out of ammo too quickly, when/if you run out of ammo switch to the rifle and stay back as far as possible.

I took Mordin with me and made use of his fire/ice abilities, which was a BIG help. I also hugged cover as much as possible.

I remember this part from my insanity playthrough, it was brutal. Use a sniper with incendiary ammo or heavy weapons to take out the Collector drones before they turn into Harbinger (Arc Projector worked well for me). If they do, kill him as fast as possible using incendiary ammo. Mordin's Incinerate skill is also very helpful.

just hang back behind cover and rely on ur viper and heavy weapons to do the work. Make use of different ammos and abilities and dont let them transform into harbinger. Also i thnk u should have gon with mordin in ur team rather than miranda- hes more effective

I took Miranda and Thane, both with unstable warp with no loyalty on either, as well as AP ammo pretty much walked through this level. I play sentinel so I used the sniper training to wittle down the armor of all the, crap I forget the name, the super-powered collector guy who spam that damn ball of gravity. With the use of unstable warp this level became a breeze. But, you will need a lot of medi-gel when dealing with the rotating platforms section. After that Thane and Miranda pretty much just wade through everyone else.

The squaddies I use for this mission are always Miranda and Kasumi.

Anyway, I suppose you're stuck on the platforms. As the first collectors approach, position yourself in the cover in the middle of your platform, and send your squaddies to the covers at the front. Just as the enemy platform is about to latch on, focus your team's powers (warp and concussive shot in Miranda and Grunt's case) on a collector drone. It should probably get decimated in a second, but won't die, so you'll have to finish it with the Revenant (using Adrenaline Rush of course). Move onto the next drone and quickly kill him.

COMPLETELY IGNORE THE SCION!!! IT IS VITAL TO YOUR SUCCESS THAT YOU DO NOT TOUCH HIM UNTIL LATER!!!

If you time it right, Harbinger will possess the guardian a split second after you kill the second drone. Focus on him immediately, as a second platform will be on its way with more collectors when he's the only one left. As you finish him, a second scion will approach on a platform. IGNORE IT, and focus on the collectors. Kill them as quick as you can to prevent Harbinger from ADC.

Once you finish them, you'll only have the 2 scions. Now you can attack. Wither their health down to as low as you can without killing them, and then finish them off at the same time. If you just focused on one, a platform with more collectors would've come as soon as he was dead. This was you take care of both easily.

Pick off the last of the collectors at your leisure, but still be wary of Harbinger. You wouldn't want to start again after all the hard work! :P

It might take you 2-3 tries to get this technique perfectly. Hell, it took me about 10 tries to develop it, and then 3 to get it working! :P

If you're still stuck for help, PM me or visit my ME union, linked in the sig. :D
