I tried Googling the answer, but I was unhappy with the results that I got.

I just finished my first playthrough of ME with a Vanguard, but say I want to start a new game with an Infiltrator. I know that if I start a new game, I have the option of starting with my Vanguard, with everything still there from my previous playthrough.

If I want to play as an Infiltrator, will I still keep all of my equipment/ items from my first Vanguard?

I really want to try out this build that I found, but am I able to achieve this if I start my second playthrough with an Infiltrator?

Commando: 12

Damping: 6

You either play as your completed character again as the same class with all your equipment, or you start a new game with nothing...those are the only choices I know of.

Game ends, then as I said when you play as your character again you keep your level and equipment, and it lets you change the difficulty before you play, you will probably need the levels and equipment on the harder difficulties...I don't remember if your helpers keep their levels...they might I can't remember. I would check but got red light so I can't.

You have to do all the side missions before you get to the planet Ilos. After you beat the game it ends. You can start the game again with your character and their stats.Same thing goes for your two side characters. So if you end your first playthough on level 40,you can restart the game at level 40 and on a higher difficulty if you choose.

They do keep their levels. You get to re-assign their skills though.

Alright, I got my answer, thank you for the answers.

I guess I'll start a new playthrough normally as an Infiltrator, and after that, I'll use the build I posted for a second playthrough of my Infiltrator on Insane.

I played through the game 4 times to scoop up achievments... yup, kinda a bummer but you do start from scratch eachtime you change class. Not a big deal though because mass effect has a nice difficulty curve throughout. good luck!

Well it is more of an annoyance. It kinda ruined the fun for me.All of the enemies have that shield technique and trust me they will use it.I was level 60 using the strongest shotgun and pistols possible and it took so many shots to bring just a simple enemy down.I hated it.
