Well, I booted up the demo and I pretty much instantly liked the game. And although the demo gives you a bit too much of the game, Everything in it reminded me of the good ol days of Golden Sun and the classic final fantasys.

Just one thing bugged me though, Its the weird cutscene thing theyve got going. Making the characters talk instead of just text boxes just isnt old school like the rest of the game and the voice actors dont really suit the characters anyway.

They used text boxes with all the ingame conversations and things so using voices in the cutscenes just seems a bit, disjointed.

Apart from this though Im looking forward to it.

How old are you?? just curious, I thought the game looked like it was made for like 12 year olds???? or younger. I really im not busting on anyone, it just struck me as defenitly a little kids game.

Actually thats a common misconception with this game. Its not for kids, its just old school.

Its like the old SNES games of yesteryear, and I feel sorry for anyone who views this as "just another kids game"

but you should check it out, just to see if you like it.

It also keeps getting compared to Mass Effect and thats not exactly a kids game is it?

The voices have got to be some of the most annoying I've ever heard in a game.

As for text boxes in gameplay and voices in cut scenes - that's been happening in JRPG's at least ever since FFX.

Thats my point, why, if its such an old school game, take out the one thing thats in every good JRPG and replace it mediocrity?

Because it's not really old school? This is, apparently, "next gen". Shiny graphics and squeaky voices!

At first glance yes this game looks kiddie I am not fond of the art work myself, Japanese just love cute stuff (just check out their tsunami warnings! that is just bad.) I was really surprised at the customization though you spend at least 10 min of the demo checking skills and jobs before u even run off. i will get this game to play until eternal sonota then i will crack out on that til GTA 4 then mass effect or lost oddessy (which one comes first) i am 26 btw
