hey guys. i was just wondering what the difference is between the xbox 360 racing wheel version 1 and version 2? in canada rite now they are $99 and they currently only sell v2, so i was wondering what the difference is between the 2 models. also, if anyone has it, can they give their opinion on how good the wheel really is. i really want to get the wheel for forza 3 (when it comes out) and i would like ppls opinions. thanks in advance

Version one had issues with fire so that is why they have version 2 . That is what I was told at EB games. So... I would say go with version 2.

yeah it is wireless. I think some third party ones are wired but I would not get those anyway. So don't forget the AA batteries (4 I think)

yes it is wireless but regardless if you want to use the force feedback you have to have it plugged into the wall. it won't to force feedback just using batteries.

Ah yeah. I forgot about the feedback part. Does kind of suk but at least it doesn't have to be a cord going all the way to the xbox.

I could be wrong but I don't think you need the batteries at all when it is plugged in.

Although it sounds odd, you need BOTH batteries and it plugged in. The batteries are for powering it and the power chord is only for the Force Feedback. The Power chord strangley does not power the device.

i dont like that either. i am so hoping that when forza 3 comes out, microsoft will release a new racing wheel that is completely wireless and doesnt need to be plugged in and use batteries. i doubt it though.
