Most of the time Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo start working on their new consoles after about a year and a half of their most recent console's release, so there is a possibility that its being designed now, but don't expect any new announcement on it for at least a few years.

IDK, but Im not sure if there will be, I kinda wish all the companies would just develope games for the PC or something or get together and make one super console, but that wont happen. I would think Microsoft is at work on the next console and Im predicting a 2010-2011 release because lets face it, the 360 is prolly gonna show some age next year or the year after so Microsoft is gonna have to have something ready to got by 2011 if they intend to stay in the console making bussiness, And I honestly dont think sony will make a new console until 2012-2013 because no lies, the PS3 is stronger than the 360 and when people start to learn how to program games onto it, the system will beable to out last the 360 for 2-3 years without showing age.
If they have, it makes you wonder if companies are already in talks regarding the development of games for the next console. Like MMO type games that take 3 or more years to complete.
let's see....the 360 is 2 years old, so im sure by now they have considered designing a new one, not necessarily have the features, because if they come up with a good idea they'll use it on the 360.
Definitely, Wii obviously will be to keep up with the PS3 and XBOX 360. The new Playstation will be called PS4 (well yah) and the new XBOX will be called the XBOX 720 or XBOX 360 2, or something crazy like that.
