Minecraft

It was announced yesterday at Microsoft's press conference, it will feature Kinect functionality. What that is remains to be seen.

They have not said if it will be an arcade release or a retail release.. obviously I hope it is arcade. I will not purchase a full-priced retail minecraft.

As for release date, my best guess would be October or November.

Terraria > Minecraft.

i hope it isnt kinect only, that would suck, id much prefer being able to use my controller.

It will be very interesting to see how Minecraft plays out on XBox. My understanding is the big draw is the shared user generated content, so how far will Microsoft allow people to share?

i didnt say it was going to be but some headlines id read seemed to imply that it ws a kinect exclusive. but ive just read somewhere that it wont be. which is awesome. ill definately get it

I should've specified, I was making a generalization. I went on the Minecraft (Xbox 360) board earlier today and half the topics were people freaking out because they thought it was kinect only.

Then other people were mad that it has any kinect integration at all (a bit silly to be mad about extra features if you ask me) but it's true.

But yeah, they already said it can be played with a controller. Looks pretty cool, I'll try the demo out first as I already have FortressCraft.

It's cheaper and more than likely better on the PC.

fortresscraft is terrible compared to minecraft. i own both and minecraft is just amazing. cnt wait for the xbox version2pac_makaveli

Then you would know Fortresscraft is exactly like how Minecraft started out, create mode only. Just it has better graphics.

For what it is and where it wants to go it is not "terrible" compared to minecraft. Fortresscraft has plans with chapter 2 and 3 to make it more like Dwarf Fortress and less like Minecraft.

It says on Notch's homepage that the final version will cost 20 dollars on the PC so somewhere around there.Arteza147

Minecraft a full-priced retail game? You must be joking. It should be about half of that in order to get any success on the 360.
