MK tips for beating Shao Kahn *minor spoilers*

Hi i need help facing shao kahn using Liu Kang. Its so hard he has the most unfair moves. I need tips please help!!! :cry:

Turn down the difficulty to easy(its still pretty tough) but you can still get achievements.....he's just a really really cheap boss...that was one of the downpoints of this game in gamespots review..

shao kahn is disappointingly easy to beat just like Seth in SF4 but so many people have probs with both. Here's a few tips

The trick is not to try and rush him down as he will hyper counter everything you do. What you do do is punish his punishable moves and he has quite a few.

- Jump over the hammer toss (punishable)

- Duck under the harpoon throw (Punishable if your close enough)

- use dash blocking and just normal blocking often as he uses the shoulder ram a lot and its not punishable.

- vertical shoulder ram is punishable as he comes down

- He has a hammer sweep (block low) and over head (block high) so know the correct blocking for both.

- Stay out of grab distance and even further away when he has x ray. If your too close when he activates it jumping back or back dashing wont save you. The answer is actually to dash forward and it goes right over you but that's at extreme close distance. Out of grab distance though you can jumb back to avoid it.

- Also if you time it right you can jump over him while he whiff an attack in the wrong direction. If you can catch him in the back before he recovers its always punishable.

-last but not least punish the taunts.

Overall if you can play Simon says you can beat him in 1 try with no effort. Its all about letting him act and punishing if possible. All of attacks can be blocked or avoided so you shouldnt be taking much damage that isnt chip damage.

ive not tried with liu kang yet, hes relatively easy with skorpion but i just kept jumping over his hammer and using xxx and yxb all the time :L like a douche
