Modern warfare 2 is starting to look extremely stupid.

Ik its not supposed to be realistic but they are going too far away with realism and adding a ton of things that I expect are going to be 10x worse than juggernaut.

An example of this is death streak, if you die too many times in a row your now rewarded with extra health or an option to have the same stuff that the person that killed you had. Also theirs things such as drop packs which contain ammo and stuff that u get at a 4 kill streak.

This and others such as throwing knives, dual weilding and a ton of others are bringing my interest in this game down.

That's fine and I respect your opinion. It does sound like they're trying to go all out to pack the multiplayer with new content and such. Still, I want to wait for the reviews before passing any more judgment on it and see how balanced all these additions will be with the core experience.

Just starting to look stupid? It's been stupid since the day the announced it. Anyways why bother say all that stuff. The only response you're gonna get it "If you don't like it, don't buy it"

I didn't mind the rewards you get from 3 kill streak 5 kill and 7 kill. But it seems like there's a reward for every time you kill someone! and even if you dont you still get rewarded. I am all for new features, but they don't seem to have made any good ones. I wasn't planning on getting the game(after seen the first videos) I loved COD4 but i think ill skip this one, unless it gets crazy good reviews

huh i didnt know the game had all that crap. it seams to mish mused with parts of different games and if good players purposly die for extra health they will pwn. this game will be bad if it has all that stuff hou said.

I love how pwople say it looked stupid from the beginning. People are just trying to be "cool." Anyways I'm not going to buy until there is a pirce drop. I hate throwing out $60 on a videogame. The only problem is is that CoD4 is still priced at $50. Doubt the price for Modern Warfare 2 will ever drop soon, lol.

He says that the game isn't supposed to be realistic, yet he rambles on about how they are straying away from realism. Thus, contradicting his entire argument/opinion.

And well should know by now that CoD wasn't exactly a 'realistc' shooter in the first place, so him saying that MW 2 is starting to look stupid (meaning that it took him this long to realise that CoD isn't realistic) takes away even more credibility.

My interest in the Call of Duty series has been plummeting since the CoD3 was released. I highly doubt I'll be getting MW2, and if I do it would have to be super cheap or given to me as a present.

well to me it was since WaW. ive just played CoD4 and WaW and i lost all interest in the franchise. so like this guy said if i get MW2 it will be bc i got it as a present(wich i highly doubt) or super cheap(yeah right)

Call of Duty is the most overrated shooter out there.. Is the exact same since number 2. With ONE adition and thats perks!.. The only reason ppl play it is because its EASY! That is it, its basic... The most ppl on any game play CoD on game battles cause it doesnt take much to be decent at the game... The funny thing is ppl think CoD is so big and all, but CoD4 came out the same time as Halo 3 and during peak hours H3 has 3 to 4 times as much ppl playing it.. Halo3 has more people playing online at one time then CoD WaW and CoD4 COMBINED.. Lol.

CoD is far from realistic, PERKS negate all realism the game could have.. I still play CoD4 and Like it very much but it is not a GREAT GAME.. All the new stuff there adding look to make the game stupid.

I think they will balance it out eventually with patches and such.

May I remind you that many people did not know that CoD existed until 3 or 4, while Halo was the biggest thing ever since the early stages of the original Xbox?

With more time and success, a fan base accumulates. I've actually done a blog on the subject.

I mainly play CoD games because it's one of the hardest single player games around, and gives a true feeling of satisfaction to beating it on vet. When you play on vet it greatly increases the time it takes to get through it, and the online mode then becomesa really nice bonus. I just hope Modern Warfare 2 doesn't go the route of World at War with the constant grenade spam, that was just annoying.

Yeah but from the looks of it you can only choose 3 killstreak rewards at one time, so it's not like you'll get something every kill. so even though theres like 10 killstreak rewards, you can only choose three to be rewarded with at one time. Hope that clears things up.

And yeah, i agree TC. I understand they want a fun arcade shooter, but they are taking it waaay to far. My interest in this game has gone down so much. Unless there is a price drop around 30-40 (there usually is around christmas), I'm probably not gonna get it.

If you are serious you would be the only person in the world to think that 4 had more grenade spamming that 5 did. CoD is hardly a 4 hour experience for anyone on vet. At that rate you would have completed about 3 missions and hour including Heart of the Reich. "Mile High Club" is known to be one of the hardest achievements out there in itself.

There's a very easy way to prove that youbeat 4 and 5 in 4 hours.Show your gamertag and anyone can look at the achievement dates.4 and 5 both had almost all single player vet achievements so you should have gotten them all very close together. If you actually did that I'll take my hat off to you, but honestly I seriously doubt you did.
