Modern Warfare 2 serious addictions

When Modern Warfare 2 came out in November, me and all my class mates got down to sainsburys to get it for £26. My mum always said to me as a joke, "Alex, you're going to get addicted to that game!" but i thought that that couldn't happen. Although I didn't become addicted, 2 people didn't come to school for a month and one kid hasn't even come back yet. One guy even got a disorder where they fall asleep at certain points. It is thought to have been caused by his days awake playing MW2. I never thought this could happen but I have kept my hours down to 23 hours. Does anyone else know someone with Infintiyward Syndrome?

This week alone, I've pulled two all nighters for MW2 and still gone to school. Then I just wait for my parents to make dinner when I get home, and go to bed around 6:30.

I don't think I've even went past 24hrs online. (Total time played online)

I get bored very easily.

lol...and i thought my addiction was bad...maybe i should thank my parents for not letting me play 360 at all during school time

WOW its a good game but i wouldnt stay up all night playing it, point and shoot does get old

It's pretty addicting. I just started playing it 3 days ago, and 1 day i actually played for 10 hours and forgot to sleep lol. That same day I never slept and was pretty much awake for 26 hours. Now I just play 2-3 hours tops.

Blaming the kids is like blaming fire for being destructive. If those kids were more controlled then they would be more productive.

The Parents should spend some jail time and the kids taken from the home..I am a life long gamer from the days of Pong and i thinks videos games are a outstanding form of entertainment BUT TO FAR IS TO FAR

I'm not the sort of person who gets addicted to games. But I have a friend who is ubsessed with Fallout 3.

Yeah, but the funny thing is, his play-time is 21 days but he is only 5th prestige! Is all he does tea bag?

Agreed and I'm an old-school gamer myself. We've come aloooooong way since the days of pong haven't we bro..??lol

MW2 is ONE of my most played games"BUT" I think the longest I've played was 10hrs.

I only spent 4 hours on the Multiplayer (My total timing on the game) and I got bored easily on the game. It's not addicting at all IMO. I think It's mainly because I got bored with online gaming, besides Halo 3 (Which Im taking a little break on).

Logged serious time near the beginning, but has since dwindled with the start of classes on top of the fact "point and shoot" dies hard quickly. Also BioWare keeping releasing sexy games that take up my already limited free time.

I can't even describe how pathetic this is. I play all the time but I'm not that obsessive about it. You kids need to snap out of it and realize it's just an effing game and is completely meaningless. There are better things out there than Modern Warfare 2. FFS... *shakes head*
