I usually will run and gun around the perimeter of a map, or try hold a key spot on the map, such as the center building in derail, or the cave in afgan. Not camping in one place, just moving about around/in it. Im not one for sitting in corners, its just too boring.
I always use the TAR-21 and I avoid running into bullets. It seems like a obvious thing to do but, There are alot of people on MW2 who don't understand it. I also, Never play on rust because that map is ******* terrible, Unless you want to die every 2 seconds avoid that map at all costs.
I play the game slowly. I'm not the type of player to run all over the map, I usually pick a small area on the map I know well, get a few kills there, and move on to a new area. I find that staying in the same place too long results in certain death, and that moving quickly can result in quite a few deaths, more than most people would want. Find a weapon you like, and stick with it, don't bother with the weapon challenges. Oh, and I suggest using a silencer on your gun whenever you can, it does help in preventing deaths.

i think i should use that, because i could have a real good K/D its 0.95 atm, but could be a fair bit higher, i just fall victim to those "off days"
I run around with my UMP.45 with a silincer and it seems to work out for me.I usually average about 16 kills and 9 deaths with yellow bars but with green bars i get 24 kills or higher and 6 deaths.

i love that map for hardcore headquarters. i got like 80 kills the other day and way way less deaths but i still couldnt get a nuke :D the highest killstreak reward i had on was my pavelow. very silly.
Make use of the weapon attachments, but don't solely rely on them. A heartbeat sensor can be very useful, but if the person round the corner has Cold Blooded they won't show up and may take you by surprise.

Tar-21 is all that you need. It's the greatest assault rifle that I have ever used in a COD game. It's easily the best close and medium range assault rifle and it's still good enough to get kills from far away. After you get used to the recoil you'll be slaughtering everyone.
Well, I love using the FAMAS. Pretty good gun. It reminds me of the BR in Halo 3. But really just search the map and find the spot you're best at and travel around tht area. Don't camp maybe just get at a spot where you think you'll be able to hold your own. But move around every once in awhile. People will watch the kill cams and find you lol.
