I'll back him up on this...I thought it was aan amazing plot twist that added to one of the greatest and most intriguing game storylines of all-time.

When I got a certain Double Kill in Halo 3, I thought it was epic, when I got my Invincible in Halo 3, and my Killtacular in Halo 3.

The big plot twist in Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (if you played it you know what I mean)

I loved watching the first Summon in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core perform his "Hellfire" move, that was epic for me.

For pure cinematic epicness, pretty must any given moment of fighting a colossi in sotc beats anything hands down imo

quite a few moments in planescape torment, trias and final boss come to mind, the great dialogue in that game realy builds up the epicness, while the high level mage spell effects are just crazy.

Alright people come on alright with some serious thought here it is.

1. MASS EFFECT (Ending) (really wanted to give it to a classic but it earned it it really does make you feel like a hero.)

2. F.E.A.R. (Ending) (if you havent seen it you just wouldnt understand, and me trying to hide from it behind a wall HA!)

3. Half-Life 2 Episode 1 (Ending) (ending of episode 2 doesnt compare to how happy i felt seeing that tower of oppression come down)

4. Metal Gear solid: 1, 2, and 3 (1 = Ending the car chase)(2 = Ending!!!!!!! omg wtf Epicness!!! play it you wont be disappointed)(3 = Beggining the drop in is pretty badass and the end made me cry)

5. Call of Duty 4 (Ending) (and Americans invasion) (1. Briggs NOOOOOOOOOOOO!, and 2. holy **** talk about going all out)

6. Darkness (Props to the whole game but id say the most epic moment when your girlfrined gets killed, break my heart :-

in terms of just epic, there is one game im drawn to. when i think of epic, mostly i think of large scale, heroic characters, scenes, and vistas. thats not to say epic connotes good. i know of plenty amazing game moments i dont consider epic.

as for epic, the ending inside the citadel and with the the final relay was amazingly epic. the fight along the now-crooked citadel tower was amazing, all leading up to saren.

[spoilers] both episode 2 and bioshock were great games. orange box was a sad, awe-inspiring, angering, and proud ending all mixed into one, what with the launch rocket to end the combine and the combine-leader fiasco at the very end. bioshock was more of an intellectual "think about the corruption" sort of deal. both great but not epic in the sense i would think
