exactly. i played a game once (i dont remember the name) but when you shot the people they screamed out in pain, it was terrible. i dont think of myself as having a weak stomach but i couldnt play that game.
Yea, when i watch videos of the new solder of fortune you would think seen people getting their arms and legs shot off would be disgusting, but when i watch it all i could think was, wow, thats alot of blood. it would be alot more disturbing if they screamed out in pain as blood was pouring out.
Its preety tough to say, since the only really extremely violent games I have played are Gears and F.E.A.R (UT is in there somewhere). Most games that are just over the top violent like Postal (Kitten Cannon was it? Scissors to Midgets?) are games I try to avoid.
F.E.A.R: Exploding Bodies, Lots of Gore
Gears of War: Chainsaw, Curb Stomp, The Dismembered Bodies arn't all that realistic.
In the end, I'd say Gears, simply because Violence is a big part of it, for F.E.A.R its kinda a addition.
the new conan game is quite brutal as well.. but it artistic gore and violence in the same state as the movie 300 with cool slow motion effects and such..
Thanks dude I was waiting to see how long it took someone to mention The Suffering, it was gory violent but like someone said violence doesn't mean gore look at Stranglehold an endless onslaught of goons, bullets parading left, right and centre... and left again, it's john Woo it falls under violent most definetly.
Manhunt , but let's not forget what game started it all and that was Mortal Kombat without that game we would probably still playing games with "gray" blood .
Manhunt is the only game I've ever played in which the violence was visceral, really feel it in my gut. Other games since might be more graphic or gory, but Manhunt is the total package.
Mortal Kombat is the most violent game I ever played.
The finishing moves included ripping peoples spinal columns up through their torso's, decapitations, skewering, blowing body parts to pieces.... and of course, the blood dripped and splattered everywhere.
Postal 2 ..no contest AT ALL..Stick a cat on then end of your gun and use it as a silencer, take peoples heads off with a shovel and then smack it around with said shovel. Can pour gas on people and set them aflame and if you want can then pee on them. the list goes on and on and on..Postal 2 has no contest what so ever
uhhh,,, what about dead rising? when u face the hunter guy and there are headless bodies hanging from the ceiling, dripping with blood. plus its a cut scene sooo wayy better visuals.

Actually, Dead Rising doesn't use CG cutscenes so during a cutscene, the game is using real time graphics for the scenes.
How do you mean most violent? Most people killed in a game or the most violent deaths? I'd say Chronicles of Riddick is pretty hardcore violence and Gears of War (where else can you put a chainsaw through someone with spectacular violent results?
there were a few old pc games that i used to play that were violent, anyone remember Kingpin? cypress hill put a few songs in the game, in the game when the AI heard your character comin, they would yell f*cker! then come after you, i miss that game..
