I'm moving to Japan at the end of the month, and only my 360 is coming with me (if I get it back from being RROD'd on time) I am also only bringing a shoebow full of games to save space on travel and to limit myself so I can establish a social life. The number of games I can fit into the shoebox is 26 (27 actually, but my Limited Edition Mass Effect takes up two spaces) I've got mind made up on 24. I've tried to make it round and varied as possible, and I am having trouble deciding the last game. Help me decide?
XBox
Beyond Good and Evil (not BC, but its my favorite game, so its coming)
Burnout 3 Takedown
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Freedom Fighters
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Halo: Combat Evolved
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
Jade Empire
Jet Set Radio Future
Ninja Gaiden Black
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Psychonauts
Sega Soccer Slam
Sid Meier's Pirates! Live the Life
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
XBox360
Bioshock
Burnout Revenge
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare
Crackdown
Dead Rising
Gears of War
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Mass Effect
The Orange Box
So that's 25. I have space for one more game. I'm leaning away from shooters since I have enough. I also am giving priority to multiplayer games since I already have friends over there looking forward to playing with me. But I fo have a slew of great XBLA games...here are the frontrunners for the last spot. I'm looking for something engaging with a lot of replay value and MAYBE can be enjoyed by a large group.
Halo 3 - again, leaning away from shooters. Plus I haven't touched it since the weekend it came out.
Rainbow Six Vegas - has co-op which is nice, but Call of Duty 4 is better all around for multiplayer
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition - probably will never get around to beating a game this large. The size intimidates me, and I don't want a game that will lock me away. But it looks like it will last me a long time
ESPN2K5 - I like arcade style sprts better, which is why I have Sega Soccer Slam. But this is my American pastime, and I will miss it if it doesn't come along.
Shenmue 2 - fun adventure, but lacks replay value and not fun to watch
I-Ninja - fun little game that comes off as too shallow to last me very long
Indigo Prophecy - zero replay value, but great while it lasts
MechAssault - not really a shooter, but its a fun multiplayer game. Not BC yet though, and who knows if it will be
Phantom Dust - probably THE front runner at the moment. Has a good online community, fun offline mutliplayer, lots of replay value, and a pretty fun and engaging single player mode
Toejam and Earl III - fun co-op, but crappy shallow game
Psi-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy - great shooter but not yet BC
Deus EX: The Invisible War - again, great replayable shooter/RPG, but not yet BC
Mercenaries - fun, but sequel is on the way and will most likely be overshadowed. Plus I have Vice City coming with me, and wil have GTAIV on release
Fable - never played it, but I heard it was pretty fun
Metal Arms Glitch in the System - I think it's an overrated underrated game, but it can be fun with friends
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - I dunno why I'm an even thinking this as I have no fun when playing it
So what's the best bet to round out my colection for the next few years? I'm open to suggestions as well on anything I might have overlooked or missed. I will still be getting new releases via carepackaging from the USA, so these aren't the ONLY games I will be playing.
