my concern about gta4

Im sure gta4 will be a great game. yet i think the multiplayer wont live up to the hype and people everwhere will say its a horrible game because of that.

Uh.... what planet are you from? People in the gaming world speculate all the time. It is a pretty big part of it all. People have a right to be concerned about their favorite IPs, especially since everyone on the planet Earth is so butt stuck on multiplayer. Some people wont play or buy games simply due to the fact that there is no MP. He has the right to discuss what he wants just as you have the right to use terrible grammar.

It is impossible to read anything you type because you cannot do anything but use run on sentences. What was the idea you were trying to get across? Truth be told there's absolutly nothing wrong with my grammer and if you were smart enough to look back everything you just wrote in quotes isn't even there. Damn, there should be some kind of age limit for forumers, becasue judging from your replies and grammar you are not a day passed 12. Someone starts a topic speculating about GTA's multiplayer status and you start picking at the TC's question and Dazzles response. You should just leave the forums if you're gonna pick at every little ordeal, seeing as how speculation is what keeps the forums fresh.

As for the TC's question, I don't think that GTA's mp will work well. Rockstar is really good at telling stories and embracing the player into a fictional role. I hope that the mp side has character customization and a ranking system at the very least becasue thats all that will keep the online community alive.

i, like many others, am buying GTA IV for the single player. in GTA i could care less about multiplayer. i'll probably try it, and if it's bad i won't care, but if it's good that's just a bonus. btw stop arguing about grammar, people can talk and type however they please. you two arguing about it is like forcing an atheist to read the bible.ctfvyrsgurbnorn

It is pretty annoying trying to read something that looks like it was written by a drunken four year old. That would be why they feel the need to argue. It is an important issue, the sooner people learn to spell on message boards, learn English, and stop using "lol" the world will be a much better place. All of a sudden everyone in the Middle East will stop blowing each other up, illegal immigrants will go back to their countries, North Korea will become a democracy, and Jesus will descend from heaven and take all the good boys and girls with him to heaven. People need to really just wait until the actual game comes out and stop saying "it better be" or "mulitplayer will suck". In my personal opinion I don't think it's neccessary to worry about such things as that. Sure speculate all you want, but don't talk about the game as if you've played it.

An inspirational message from delro :roll:...

The multiplayer probably will suck if GTA SA is any indication, but the single player is probably also going to be the best on the console. And screw what people on the forums say anyway.

My main concern is how the PS3 and 360 versions will differ since they were complaining about a HDD not being standard on all 360s... I wonder if this will affect performance. And this thought prevents me from knowing which one I'm going to buy, though I'm obviously leaning towards the 360 one, given the exclusive content.

I didn't see it as a "what if it sucks" topic, seeing as how no matter what the single player will be good. Its just that since Saints Row included multiplayer Rockstar wants to keep up with the times and show that they can do better than their competitors. The thing is its possible that they will just slap on the multiplayer and therefore make the whole game feel half baked, since multiplayer is usually what instills replay value.

Its GTA, with or without multiplayer its going to be a great freaking game. I'm with the "care-free club" on this one. If its bad I'm sure I'll live, but if it is good then I'll probably live a bit happier haha.

(I think Dazzle and Delro should settle their differences on GTA4 when it comes out) :P
