Not too far yet. I've played the game before at some parties. I play real guitar, but Guitar Hero has always been so much fun for me to play. I told my g/f she can play with me sometime because I think she likes it too.
My wife loves the demo for GH3 so I was thinking of picking up 2 or 3. I just played 3 on the PS2 and didn't love the soundtrack that much. What is on 2 that is so great? However, i like the wireless guitar with 3 so what is a man to do?
Being an owner of both GH2 and GH3.. I say go with 3 because of the wireless guitar, It's just so much better then the Xploder, Besides you can just buy GH2's game without the guitar for a far less price than you would if you bought it with the guitar. Plus the songs on 3 are better in my opinion.. If you enjoy rocking out, 3 has more songs to actually rock your socks off.. 2's songs get old kinda fast, and aren't as challenging.
my mom got me gh3 with a gh2 controller. it kind of sucks, but the game is still a lot of fun. i dont know about gh2 though, havent played it, but i might buy it when its cheap just for like more songs.
my GH3 guitar i got for christmas is going back after it decide to not let the red and blue buttons work all the time and from time to time have the other ones quit also. Hopefully the replacement will be better
