he already has oblivion on the pc. So im assuming that you guys recomend the pro kit. bwms12345nevermind then, get him Gears with the Pro System.
its my sons 16th birthday and he wanted a 360. I was wondering what i should get for it. I am trying to keep the price under $450

Yep... I'd go with the premium along with Gears... When he hooks up his 360 to the internet, you get a free month of gold when you register for a silver account, so that is definately the way to go. That way you save that extra $50 for another month.
I recommend Vegas, its twice as good as gears online imo, though gears is still a good game, and it has a really good single player as well.lacuna34
If you buy the core you will have more money to buy him games. Also do not buy him Gears as its a bloody violent game and your sons not mature enough.freaky_monkeyOMG SHUT UP! Dont get the Core. You lose money in the end trust me. You will have to buy all the hardware seperate and everything =loss of money.

Who the hell are you to say that his son isn't mature enough, huh? I think his parent can decide that for themselve.
if i was a parent, i would get him the pro system, live, and a subscription to gamefly. it's 15/month for unlimited games for life, so you can pretty much never get bored and save lots of money Illidan311
That is a good idea. Then he can buy games later but he can get what he wants right away.

I am trying to keep the price under $450unless you get a core system for him you wont spend under $450. even if you get a core system which is $300 you would still need to get him a game, a memory card and you would be nuts if you didnt get a warranty for it as well due to the terrible durability track record they have. unless you want it to break and have him wait a month while he has to send it back to microsoft to fix.
