[QUOTE="bwms12345"]its my sons 16th birthday and he wanted a 360. I was wondering what i should get for it. I am trying to keep the price under $450

mmrsoxnation5
unless you get a core system for him you wont spend under $450. even if you get a core system which is $300 you would still need to get him a game, a memory card and you would be nuts if you didnt get a warranty for it as well due to the terrible durability track record they have. unless you want it to break and have him wait a month while he has to send it back to microsoft to fix.

I didnt think about that. Does the system come with some warrenty?

go to BEST BUY!!! get a premium system a game and a warranty from bestbuy, not from microsoft. if you get a warranty from best buy and you sons xbox has problems, all you have to do is bringit back to bestbuy and they will hand you a new xbox360. well worth the money. its the only place id buy a system.

ok to help you out, the premium is 399 get that, but the tax on it will put it about 415-425$ a new game is 59$ plus tax 65$ so i say get the system and one used game at gamestop or something. or look for a good one for a good price. do you know what kind of games hes into, shooters, driving, racing, action, adventure, puzzle, stealth. stratagy, rpgs, warning everyone says gears, but it is an extremely mature game, lots of violence blood and gore, just to let you know before you buy it.

if you buy the premuim you get a free month of gold, just make a silver account it will ask you if you want to upgrade to gold for a month trail say yes, and then after the month is over your account goes back to silver. no charge.

if i was a parent, i would get him the pro system, live, and a subscription to gamefly. it's 15/month for unlimited games for life, so you can pretty much never get bored and save lots of money Illidan311
better yet, get him Games n' Flix... instead of spending $15 a month for 1 game. You could spend $11 a month and get 2 games, or 2 movies or 1 game and 1 movie. Samething as gamefly just with movies and cheaper. The have a larger game library too.

400 dollar xbox 360 (the 300 dollar one would just be a waste of 300 dollars), and Dead Rising ($50-$60 depending on where you can find)

my opinion would be.................. get the premium version, ask what your son wants on the 360 and get about 2 games for him, get xbox live. also for a lesser price for the 360, go to gamestop and trade in a bunch of his old games and systems (if he has any) that he doesn't want and get store credit for it. they may also offer you abunch of stuff like subsciptions to video game magazines and used controllers to get the price down on the 360 and it's all for free and just accept the offers so the 360 itself intead of being $444, the price will be around 390-350 (depending on how many games, consoles, used stuff, magazine subscriptions you trade in and accept), i did the same with the PS3 and i got the 60 gig, Resistance and a book for Resistance for $500 instead of paying alot more. also if you get Gears of War for your son get the book, because it's one of those games when you play campaign you need to be on your toes to get passed some of the levels, as in it's a bit complicated finding some of the stuff you need to do to get passed the Acts.
