Hi at this moment i cant afford to buy HDTV so i decided to buy this TV from friend http://www.hardwarezone.com.ph/news/view.php?id=8942&cid=6 for my xbox 360. I checked the spec it has dvd component input. I have the 360 component cable just wondering if i can get component picture quality from this TV. thank you

Wrong forum, you want the Audio/Video Hardware forum. And if it has component, you will get component quality, which isn't too bad. The only problems I see are the 4:3 aspect ratio and the regular resolution. I hope it's cheap. Oh, and why are you buying a Philippine TV in the US?

There is nothing special about component cables unless your t.v. is hi-def. I would save the money for an h.d. t.v. unless you don`t have a set to play on at all.(or this is the best tv you can afford for a VERY long time)

The TV in your link is a standard definition (sd) tv... so why would it be any different?

If there is a difference (due to the fact that it might be a better or bigger sd tv), it will only be a really small difference...hardly noticeable

Why not purchase something like a 22 inch 1080 monitor? They are much cheaper than HDTVs and do the same job. A friend of mine has a 22" BenQ that is native 1080 resolution and it looks awesome. The monitor cost $220 canadian compared to $599 for a 32 inch TV or $449 for a 22 inch HDTV (I don't know how these prices will translate for you...)

something to think about anyway.
