I am getting both to be honest. I want to get SH:homecoming because I have all the silent hill games and I love them all equally in there own ways.
Also dead space looks really really interesting as well. From reading and watching the first video of it last year and following it closely I think this could be a very, very good game.
Then in 09 is the latest in the Resident Evil series which is always my favorite survival horror game series ever
Dead Space is the way to go. Silent Hill Homecoming received a 6.5 or something in OXM.BioShockOwnzSince when did reviews matter for Silent Hill in the first place? It has always been the black sheep of the horror genre. Despite the low scores, it has continued to be one of the best survival horror games ever made. In terms of visceral horror it is the way to go. Dead Space just looks like a cheap System Shock 2. I recommend Silent HIll.
You should definitely get both.
You need to get Dead Space if you think you will like it, because we need to start new franchises or else we will end up with more tired sequels.
Aside from the atrocious comic book series, as well as Silent Hill 4, the Silent Hill series has always been of high quality, and despite introducing Nazi's into the game, and having the character be "an american war hero", I don't think it will suck nearly as bad as Silent Hill 4.
Im a silent hill fan totally... its more of a cult following anyway.
I dont care if the reviews go so-so, Im buying it anyway. It appeals to me, like every other one has
Silent Hill: Homecoming is for the fans of the series,
Silent Hill as a series has always had a sort of cult following, not really mainstream.
