well the original xbox lasted for around 6-7 years and the 360 is a lot more powrful meaning its going to last longer meaning... it will be around until like 2017 or until sony release another console. So natal is definatly going to be another one of microsofts expensive accesories

Actually they stopped the original Xbox after 4 years in production didn't continue support for any future releases on that console. However I do believe that all the companies will be keeping this gen of consoles around a little longer just to recoup costs of production and cause the shape the economy is in.

You actually may not believe it, but these rumors have been whirling around long before they hit the media. And to be completely honest, Microsoft does have intent to release one of two things within the next two years. 1) A slightly revamped console to include something that uses Natal, or 2) A hardware add-on that compliments the current 360 and uses Natal.

Certain Xbox Live representatives have been revealing small bits of information relating to these rumors by visiting US colleges to discuss their plans for Live and the 360. A friend's dad works at a college that had a recent visit--he works in video games as a college prof--from such Live Rep and she gave a small presentation to his class regarding Natal and the future of the 360.

Believe it or not, but I'm calling it NOT BULL!

I doubt MS would release a new console in 2010 since the 360 is doing great for them and there is no point in releasing a new console in at least a couple of years, 2012 is likely IMO.

this part is pretty cool "t will come standard with the next Xbox console." if that is true. and i think alot ppl know it be 2010 fall because at e3 their was no type release date for it so most likely it be at e3 next year with a mass amount of games and a release date and price. but i still cant see a new xbox being released untill 2012-2013 and that might only be at E3 about info nothing more. microsoft wants to take down nintendo but i think microsoft has bigger boys like sony to keep up with as the 360 is a hardcore system and ps3 is to so they wouldn't release a new xbox just with little bit more power then the 360 and just add slip a camrea in the boy

I for one think its theirs a good posibility that M$ launches a new console, but not this year. For those of you who say the economy won't let it, a lot of economists say the economy will be back to normal within the next 2 years. In Canada, a lot of car plants are beginning to bring back employees that were layed off.

i dont think theyll make a new console for a while.

if that happens microsoft has lied to all of us, " natal will work on every ones current 360 and future 360s, and im not buying regardless, i got a wii i dont need a knock off version with beefed up graphics and games that were ment for standard pads eg burnout paradise lol

The guy that was in the conference of microsoft in e3 said that Project Natal was going to be for the XBOX 360.

Sigh...

Natal will be bundled with a new console launch... but the console is still Xbox 360, just in this case we'd have the following consoles:

Xbox Arcade, Xbox Pro, Xbox Elite, Xbox Natal.

Simple.
