Except for the all the Oblivion gates and monsters walking abound. That would kida ruin the property values of the land I think.

The first time I knocked some boxer out in Fight Night Round 3.  The sweat getting knocked off the slaiva and the blood mixed in, plus the ripple of his cheeks after the devestating blow.  you actually got to see his eyes roll back and his nose crushed in.  it was beautifully rendered in gresome detail steeltoes1241

The first "wow" was in COD2 when the Nazis came storming out of their Headquarters in the first Russian mission. Never seen that many enemies on the screen at-once (along with a dozen Russians, as well) with smoke and gunfire everywhere.REVENGEotSITH

For me though it was walking out of the sewers in Oblivion...I spent the next hour just walking around look for cool scenic views.

I did the same thing telling the main missions and such to shove it.  Beautiful game.  I've been doing the same thing with Just Cause :D

Oblivion definitely. When you first start the play the game and you are crawling though the dungeon then after a hour or so you come to the gate and....... The sight of the sun in the trees, the land in front of me, the mountains in the distance, the sight of the tower over my head, the trees, the water the birds chirping in surround sound. Then the night with the stars and the wind, The sunrise. And the thought, "I can go anywhere I want". It was breathtaking.

My vote goes to oblivion, coming out of the sewers.

My jaw dropped as I was thinking....WOW.

Then I got my arse kicked by some half-naked female bandit.:)

as far as playing goes playing level 3 of perfect dark zero (the rooftops) just looks beautiful

I have a few of them:
1.  The opening cutscene of Oblivion.  It seemed exactly like something you would see in a movie, and the music is just spectacular.
2.  Stepping out from the sewers in Oblivion.  They set that whole part up perfectly so when you stepped out that door you were completely amazed. 
3.  The view from either Dive Rock or Wizards Tower.  See it on a clear day and it was so amazing I just sat and looked at it for a while. 
4.  The mission in GRAW when the embassy explodes and you have to defend it.  The explosion was so loud that my whole family ran into the room just to find me half-way off the couch because I jumped so high. 
5.  The X06 footage of Gears of War.
 

I will re bump this november 20th after a bunch of new games come out like gears of war, cod3 and rainbow 6 las vegas.  Even though i am technically bumping this right now.........
