So, the first week sales figures of NG2 are out. I personally think 215k(worldwide) is a good number for this kind of a game. Considering that the original sold about 350K in NA in it's first month, 174K sales in NA in the first week is certainly good. Not to mention the not so casual nature of this game. Here's to hoping it reaches the 1mn mark that it truly deserves, and maybe more. What are your opinions on this?

That's pretty high, games that sell over 100k are considered successes, so, it's a success for sure.

Can't I'm terribly suprised. It was poorly advertised. I mean, all microsoft did on live was put up ask a ninja videos. Thats just pathetic.

It took the original's special edition to make it to one mill.

Technically 215 k is pretty good for the first week and if sales go at a steady pace im sure Ninja Gaiden 2 will get close to 1 mill by the end of the year.

Yeah, before both Indiana Jones and Postal a huge long big screen preview of it went. Heck, my gf wanted me to buy her the game based on that, and she has yet to touch it, just like GTA.

I guess I wouldn't know. I mean, I rarely go to the theatres. In the past 12 months I've only watched two movies in theatres.

I knew about the TV ads, but all they show is an ninja jumping around and swinging his sword at nothing.

Well, the theatre ads are quite gory. Like I said, they moved my casual gamer gf (she never played games until she moved in with me), to demand I buy her the game.

I wish I could claim the same, we see far too many films.

Have a real reason for that claim? Lotsa random people claim that, but, vgchartz has never been disproven really.
