unless your planning on getting some special eddition of it , there will be a TON of copies of this game out at launch - just like halo 2

halo 2 gamestop kept saying pre-order soon or you gota wait for a second shipment and then there was more than enough copies there , and at stores that don't even have pre-orders

Thats what i said to myself first but Halo 3 is going to be much bigger than Halo 2. You better pre-order your copy just in case.

I think you are mistaken the Halo 3 display cases for the actual game due to you saying that there was enough copies at the GameStop store.

this is technically true for every game. i do not usually preorder any game. just walk in the store on the day of, and pickit up. no trouble getting any game yet.

I agree, pre-ordering video games is useless unless you are getting a T-shirt or special edition with it. There will be plenty of copies at your local wallyworld or target.

Ya gamestop reps get hours based on pre-orders so they'll do anything to make you think that they will only have enough copies for reservations. People act like they only want to reward people that pre-order and not sell as many copies as possible. Did you ever think that maybe they take pre-orders to get an idea of how many more games they should order since they'll already have guaranteed purchases? It's not like game discs are hard to manufacture like consoles. If there really were a limited supply they would have first come first serve without reservations so that people would come to the store trying to get it and if not possibly buy something else. Which is why they won't take pre-orders for consoles like the wii. Besides that it's not like there aren't other stores that are also going to have a gazillion copies.
