Normal flaw in Halo SE 360 paint job? (PICS)

This was kind of standing out to me, and I took photos with lighting that really showed it off. But none of the official pictures had this problem:

Notice how the paint just didn't make it all the way around the word xbox. Looking real close it's like that spot is missing the fine texture the rest of the 360 has, so being smooth, it reflects the light differently (sorry, used cell to take photos)

Can anyone pretty much confirm they all look like what I got?

boy, that sucks. im glad i only have a white premium. serves me just dandy and it looks great, too! (thats an additional feature not on all 360 models haha)

My Halo edition 360 most definately doesn;t have that fading around the name and looks far darker than yours. Maybe it's just your pics. I think mine looks very military like and is by far the best looking of the 360s currently out.

Btw, before everyone who says all 360s have that defect jump on me, I went over to my system and took it ouit of the entertainment center to look at it. No fading of any kind and liek I said, it looks much darker.

well my premium has that so it must just be a defect in the molds they use.Big_player

I'm back, I was playing Halo 3, can't play me for that.

I looked at a mid 2006 white core that just died (reason I picked up the Halo SE), Both sides of it look fine, even texture, nothing odd. I'll take pics soon.

If anyone says theirs is fine, then it might have been just luck. Pics would be nice. Oh, and mine is a Lot:0729

My pics do make it lighter than it is, but looks much better than the MS pictures. As I first hated the thing, too green and too orange. But the real photos showed more of a matte olive military green. Andthe chrome was not as orange.

Yeah it looks better for some reason.

The actual paint color is good, it's not dented, but more less missing the gritty texture, maybe from stretching. So it's not that the paint is lighter, it's that the light reflects different between areas.

So it must be the luck of the draw. As many say they see the same thing with their white console, but my Core, mid-2006, looks like this compared to the new Halo:

The photo on the box is really photoshopped. The chrome looks more airbrushed in that real. While the photo in my first post looks more untouched.

I guess all I needed to know was I was not the only one, and that seems to be true, and that most are probably like this.

As stated often enough ... it has nothing to do with the halo edition. Its in the plastics of the xbox's cover. I checked about 3 boxes and every single one had that "circle" around the XBOX sign.
