Now that 2008 is almost over, what games in 2009 you anticipate? (XBOX360)

Ok, well, 2008 is a great year, too great enough that all famous games try to come out this year. You know, like the sequels Gears 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Soul Calibur 4, GTA 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, BF:Bad Company, CoD:World at War, Prince of Persia, as well as the hyped up new games like Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge all came out to be, i wouldnt say all very disappointing, but still in a successful way. However, im quite pissed for the XBOX awards nominees list on gamespot, for those of you who checked it out already will notice why.

Anyways, there are surprises, disappointments for every distinguish gamers, but 2008 is over. Now we must step forward to our next year. Tho im not sure if 2009 would be better than 2008, im pretty sure everyone have their own games to anticipate.

Based on the games thats already annouced to be out during 2009, my personal anticipations would be:

Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams

Dante's Inferno

Final Fantasy XIII

I think thats about it, yet.

It's tough, I'm sure there have been many times this year that I have read something about a 2009 game and got myself all hyped and then forgot about it and I won't be reminded of it until it's release date nears. Although a few games do spring to mind -

Halo Wars, Halo 3 ODST, Empire Total War, Call of Duty 4 MW:2

The real COD5, Halo ODST, Dragon Age, The Witcher and Final Fantasy XIII if it actually comes out next year.

COD: MW2 BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams Street Fighter IV Those are the only ones I can think of right now -- Aren't Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 coming out in 2009 too? Or just TBA in 2009.Haziqonfire

Assassin's Creed 2 is a rumor, its not officially announced yet i think. And Mass Effect 2 is just TBA not sure it will come out in 2009.

I don't see where this year has been anymore amazing than any other year, not for me at least, but nonetheless I do agree that the game releases this year have been pretty decent.

There have been so many games coming out, that there are still some I haven't gotten to try yet that I'd like to. Among these titles are Mirror's Edge, the new Banjo-Kazooie and Fallout 3. Since my copy of Oblivion isn't working right, I have to buy a new disc for that too. ...And let's not forget some of those smaller games that despite their bad ratings, I still want to try, like Guilty Gear Overture.

In 2009 there is one game I am looking forward to in particular, Street Fighter 4, which I am kind of iffy about since I already have Turbo HD Remix, but I still want because it looks so damn cool and may become the new standard street fighter game. I am, as many are, excited at the notion of Final Fantasy 13 being available on the 360, and happy to see that SquareEnix is going to keep the Star Ocean series alive, but seeing how both IPs have been less-than-stellar over recent years I am not going to count my chickens till these eggs hatch, and see if they live up to their names. Overlord and Dead Rising are also getting sequels, good news indeed but I still have work to do on the first games of both and I am hoping that DR's new developer does the series justice with their new installment. Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires is slated to be on the way and, hopefully will add some online play or downloadable maps and content to the series. Perhaps most of all I am happy that Ninety-Nine Nights 2 is coming out, since what I have played in the first game is fun and nicely paced, and I think that it should be the premeire hack-n-slash for Microsoft consoles.

I don't rly get excited for the game till a couple weeks before it comes out.

Games like fight night 4, lotr conquest, ufc, final fantasy , re5 and madden 10

Skate 2, F.E.A.R.2, Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena, Wheelman, Fable 2 Knothole Glade DLC, & GTA4 DLC.

Can't think of much else, they're the big one. Most of those are on PC too, but my PC is getting a bit on, so the 360 version might work out better...

not a single game for any system. hopefully something springs up.
