There's only a couple that I'm really excited for, with some others that look promising, but nothing 'gotta have immediately'.
The main thing I want is Forza 3. If its as epic and awesome as its rumored to be(by Turn 10, who haven't announced that their current project is Forza 3, but its the most probably answer), then this will be the game I spend most of my time on. Considering I'm still finding plenty of replay value from Forza 2, this game has the potential to be purely phenomenal(sp?).
Final Fantasy XIII is next on my 'must have' list. I'm a huge FF fan, and yes, I even enjoyed FFXII, so I have high hopes for this. So far, there are no truly 'gotta have' JRPG's for the current gen, with maybe Lost Odyssey coming close, but that will not be a game that I'm likely to replay in 10 years like I can with FF games.
And last, and indeed least, on my 'must have' list is Resident Evil 5. While I also liked the old style RE games, I also loved 4 a lot, too, so I'm really looking forward to this one. It looks insanely good so far, graphics-wise, and I can only hope that the game is an all-round hit. I hope the AI are more aggressive than they are in the preview videos I've seen, though.
Other games I'll probably consider buying at some point are:
Bioshock 2 - Loved the first. Need something a bit different or else the novelty of the whole 'originality' might not carry the game as much as it did with the first. I'm not a fan of just 'more of the same'.
Call of Duty MW2 - I've spent countless hours on CoD4, and the whole experience will be hard to beat, so I'm gonna wait for some more info on this one before I judge it. I trust they'll do a good job, but again, I want something different. I didn't even buy CoD:WaW because its just too similar to CoD4 in the way it plays, so this new game better bring something good to the table. We'll see.
RacePro - Being a Simbin game, it should be good(plus it has open-wheelers), but I'm gonna wait and see. It doesn't have a lot of tracks(my biggest complaint with Forza 2), and I'm not sure that the game will appeal to enough people to make this a long-lasting multiplayer experience worth spending $60 on.
I'm still catching up on other games missed, though, so I'm no hurry. I like being a little behind with the times, because it means I can usually find cheap, used copies of games and save boat loads of money.
