Oblivion GOTY loading times

I just bought a 360 with Halo & Oblivion GOTY, Halo works fine, but im having issues with Oblivion

I put the disc in, and i create a new character, i pick up a few things on the table & ground, and check out the pause interface (not sure what its called) and it froze (Brand new)... i was like hmm

so i went back to the dashboard, and start the game again, and press continue, however it never loads, it loads a tiny bit of the bar and thats it.. What the hell is wrong with it!!

I restarted the game, went back into it, still doesnt change anything!

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated as i only just bought this and already im worryin that its stuffed up..

10 Seconds.. try more like 10 minutes, i put the disc in 10 minutes ago now, and it still hasnt loaded since i pressed continue!!the load bar has gone up by maybe 1cm, so yer i rekon thats pretty patient..

Well, it is a big world. The loading times are extremley long when you are switching between areas. Keep in mind patient is a essence.Alpha172

There not that long for me, maybe about 10 seconds once i get going but when i first start it takes me a good 20 Secs or more to load everything fresh when i just sit down to play.

its alot better now, it must have fixed itself or something lol.. loading times are down dramatically and there are pretty much no times when everything freezes while it thinks
